Now that you and your husband Yami were living together alone in your cozy little cottage, life with your husband has been… kinda different.

The only same thing that didnt change since the BB base days is his time on the throne. He still spends a hell lot of time in the toilet and you even installed a ventilator to blow all his cigarette smoke OUT.
This man even installed a seat warmer and a nice bidet spray. You couldn’t even argue about the money spent because that is the only expensive thing he wanted in the house.
On some days you’d cook a nice meal just for you and him. Something simple, nothing fanciful. But were you surprised when your husband cooked one day.
It was just a simple rice and miso soup, along with some seafood fried / skewered dishes. But it was delicious. Food that warmed your tummy and your heart.
Yami always does the dishes. Always. He never lets you do it because “my hands are already rough, baby! it works better than a sponge. You might spoil your nails”
On some days, Yami gets lazy to go to his office in the BB base so he gets the kids to report to him directly at home.
If Asta / Magna / Luck visits, Yami would ask (blackmail) them to do some housework. Especially so when you’re not around.
Other than that, Yami tries to help but he’s only good at mopping the floors or wiping windows. He takes out the trash and helps you hang the laundry, and he’s a pretty good handy man. He’ll definitely give you a hand if you ask. (Although you might have to wait quite awhile if he’s in the toilet)
When you both are home together, your favourite activity to do together is watching tv. I know, it sounds boring but Yami loves watching documentary, history, news, geography and fight me on this, animal channel.
Some days you also watch what you enjoy watching and he’ll sit there and judge all the characters of your drama / movie series.
“What? Who does such a stupid thing babe??”
“Why did he do that??”
“Oi, grandma, get out of there.”
“Dumb move, bro.”
“Dayum, she’s hot”
Yeap, he’s the noisy and chatty type.
Your next fave thing to do is (you all can guess this one) : have a bath together.
Yes you both love warm baths so we have a huge tub right in your own home. (Basically the toilet is your most expensive room)
Also, you have 3 bedrooms that are half painted so it’s become a past time thing that you both do together. It’s a funny story, really.
Your husband didn’t want to pay that much for a painter, saying “it’s easy! I’ll do it myself!”
But he ended up being really busy during that period so you both only managed to finish the common room and your bedroom.
And since the rest of the rooms are vacant, you both decided not to rush it and paint it when you both were more free. So it became a thing for you both to just do it as a couple activity when you both were free. You would chit chat and talk about a lot of things when you were painting. It was something you both enjoyed.
On his first birthday in your new home, you put up some decorations in your house and a little gift on the coffee table.
After celebrating lavishly and crazily in the base, your husband was already semi drunk when you both got home.
But he was wide awake and sober when he saw the house.
“Heh. What’s this? More surprises?” He pulled you close and nuzzled / kisses your cheek.
“It’s your first birthday in our new home! Wanted to make it memorable!”
You took out a big mochi, a dessert back from Yami’s homeland. With a small candle on top.
“I figured you’d have lots of cake and booze at the base so…”
His wide smile told you that it was all he ever needed.
“Another year older and wiser!” He blew out the candle.
“And more wrinkles~” you laughed, while your husband give you the eyebrow.
“Am still handsome.”
You couldn’t deny so.
